Change the Scene
My mind says, "Tell you
that it's time, a better place."
I envision magnets moving
our direction
away from greed and toward
horizons still unseen.
The world we build has got
to be beautiful. Can't you see
ways around the madness
hanging on our shadows? Don't you
know
we can
shed our ills and rise up to new highs?
And I know where we are and
you know where we been.
We need love, some
greenery, the energy, a break. So
slow it down, enjoy what
you got.
How about we change the
scene just once in a while?
The sea the sky the velvet
orange pie they never did nothin' wrong.
The sea the sky the velvet
orange pie they never did nothin' wrong.
Can you say the same for
cheatin' at your own game all a long?
Seems like everything left
in the dirt
is poisoned and polluted,
thoroughly uprooted.
Turn anew and walk among
enlightened kind.
‘Cause after all, a life is
just a life after all.
We make or break them, why
not try and make them?
Listen to your soul and
tell me what you hear
A thousand parts in tune a
million miles around.
Wide and clear and running
free the majesty abounds so,
slow it down, enjoy what
you got.
How about we change the
scene just once in a while?
Pirates sail the open seas
once in a while
See the forest through the
trees just once in a while
How about we change the
scene just once in a while?
How about we change the
scene just once in a while?
Dance until your legs are
lean once in a while
Let the bells of freedom
ring once in a while
